This shocking name is Varun Chakraborty, who has been bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 8.4 crore. Varun received 42 times more than the base price of 20 lakh rupees. Delhi and Chennai started the bid seeing this, it became interesting when Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) jumped into the race. Starting from Rs 20 lakh, the bid stopped at Rs 8.4 crore.
Although Varun Chakraborty is an unknown player at the international level, but in domestic cricket, his team has done wonders for several times for Tamil Nadu. His name was first revealed during the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). In the tournament, he has bold many top batsmen from Tamil Nadu. After the TNPL, this mystery bowler got a chance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. It was a sensation with 22 wickets in just 9 matches here. He was the highest wicket-taker bowler at the group stage.
