Ramayan

Ramayana is a very successful Indian TV series, which was created, written and directed by Ramanand Sagar. This series of 78 episodes was broadcast on Doordarshan from January 25, 1987 to 31 July, 1988 at 9:30 am on every Sunday. This serial is a TV adaptation of an ancient Indian scripture Ramayana and is primarily based on Valmiki Ramayana and Ramcharitmanas of Tulsidasji. Some part of this is taken from the "Kambaramayana" of Camban and other works.
