Television in India is a huge industry with thousands of programs in many languages. The small screen has produced many celebrities. More than half of Indian households have a television set. Zee TV started on 1 October and broadcast on 2 October 1992 and became India's first Hindi cable channel. It was founded by Subhash Chandra on 1 October 1992 as a Hindi channel in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Earlier it formed this channel in association with Star TV. But when Star TV was bought by an American company, it completely ended. Zee then established its channel in England in March 1995 and in the US on 15 July 1998. &TV or AND TV is a new channel in the Indian Hindi language owned by Zee. The telecast of the program of this channel started on 2 March 2015 at 7:30 pm.
