Raftaar - Indian Rapper

Dilin Nair, (born November 16, 1988 in Delhi, India) is an Indian rapper and singer. Often he is known by his stage name Raftaar or RAA. He was formerly a member of the urban music group Mafia Mundeer formed by Yo Yo Honey Singh. He split from the group, and made headlines after signing for three records from Punjabi band RDB. He achieved a big place by meeting the rape king Bohemia.

Raftaar recently came from the fight with Emiway Bantai in the most discussed. The reason for this was Raftaar asking for Emiway's earnings.

Early life

Raftaar started his career as a dancer in Bollywood. He also performed back ground dance for Indian Bollywood films. He participated in the Indian dance show 'Dance India Dance' under Max with a partner named Manik, which made him quite famous. He also worked as a dance teacher at the Big Dance Club in Delhi. After being out on the show, began his career as a rapper. He started working with music producer Yo Yo Honey Singh as a member of the music group "Mafia Mundeer".

After leaving the group, Punjabi music band RDB signed Raftaar to three records, with their own label. After the RDB members split, Raftar joined Manjit (now known as Manj Musik), who served as a singer for RDB.

Career

Raftaar was first introduced in the RDB song "We Doin It BIG". Later, he starred in the album Born Star and contributed 3 songs, "Majnu", "Sugar" and "Bottle". In 2013, Raftaar released his solo album WTF: Witness the Future. Already used in the song of Yo Yo Honey Singh, titled "Party with Bhootnath", "Ab Yeh Karke Dikhao" which was also used in the pace song "Swag Mera Desi Hai", due to which both of them got into a dispute. There were rumors that "Dope Shop" and "Breakup ki Party" were written by Raftaar. He targeted Yo Yo Honey Singh and said that he wrote these songs but he never got the credit for it. Raftar calls his fans as "RAA Army".
