MC Kash

Roushan Illahi or best known by his stage name MC Kash is an up and coming underground Kashmiri Hip Hop artist. Determined to express himself fully as a street poet, this rapper is fast emerging as a lyrical storyteller with a distinct voice. He was born in 1990 in the Indian-administered state of Jammu and Kashmir. He is the alumni of Burn Hall School. Roushan grew up during the Insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir. MC Kash says he is entirely independent: "Nobody is paying me. Nobody told me to go sing about Kashmir."
