Raid

Raid is the Hindi language film released in 2018, which is written by Ritesh Shah and directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. In the lead role of this movie is Ajay Devgan and Ileana D'Cruz. In September of 2017, the film's main photography was completed in Lucknow and Raebareli. The film is inspired by real events, telling the story of the tax raids carried out by Indian Income Service officials in the 1980s. Its world premiere took place on March 16, 2018, obtaining positive reviews from the critics.

The film focuses on Abhay Patnaik, an IRS official transferred to Lucknow as Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax. At the beginning of the work, he receives anonymous suggestions about black money accumulated by the Member of the Legislative Assembly Rameshwar Singh. The film follows his search attempt to discover the hiding place of gold and cash while maintaining his officers, his family and his own security.
