Dr. Prem Lal Joshi, an eminent Indian educationist, scholar, author, Professor of Accounting at Multimedia University, Malaysia, the chairman of the Center for Excellence in Business Performance (CEBP) and the Founder and Honorary Editor of International Journal of Accounting Auditing and Performance Evaluation (IJAAPE), Managing Editor of Afro Asian Journal of Finance and Accounting (AAJFA) and Associate Editor of International Journal of Finance and Accounting Studies, Australia. Author of six books on budgeting and financial accounting. In addition to his books, he has published more than 100 research papers in many recognized international journals of the world.

Early life and education

In the year 1981, Prem Lal Joshi received the highest academic degree of PhD in Commerce (Circle and Accounts) from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University. He did his Masters in Commerce from Delhi University in the year 1975. He received Teacher Fellowship (Teacher Grant) in 1979 by the Indian Social Science Research Council, New Delhi.

Career

He worked at the Garhwal University during the 1980s and was instrumental in setting up the Faculty of Commerce in the University. He founded International Journal of Accounting Auditing and Performance Evaluation, Afro Asian Journal of Finance and Accounting and Afro Asian Journal of Finance and Accounting, international journals based on circle and accounting studies. According to an evaluation by Google Scholar, international scholars have referred to Dr. Prem Lal Joshi's articles and research papers 822 times in their articles or papers. In consultation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) at the invitation of Bahrain's Ministry of Education, Dr. Prem Lal Joshi wrote two books on accounting, which are included in the curriculum of government schools in Bahrain. He was a member of the Information Technology Committee of AAA from 2005 to 2006 and Vice President of Indian Audit Associates. He was also a member of the European Accounting Association from 1995 to 2012. Dr. M.L. Joshi has published 6 books on finance and accounting studies.
